Festival of Flowers celebrates 31 years in Mobile, raises money for healthcare

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Festival of Flowers is bringing talented florists and vendors, live music and other special events to downtown Mobile.

The Festival of Flowers will celebrate its 31st year in downtown Mobile at Cathedral Square from March 8 through March 10, 2024. Hosted by the Providence Foundation, the festival aims to introduce people to gardening while raising money for medical equipment for USA Health Providence Hospital.

Attendees can enjoy horticulture displays created by Mobile’s best florists, artists and garden designers while listening to live music and outdoor seminars. Visitors can then cast their votes for the artist with the best display to win the Festival of Flowers People’s Choice Awards.

The festival also offers a range of special events including ArtWalk, Exotic Car Show, Buds and Brews, and self-guided garden tours.

To attend, visitors need to make a donation via card, cash, Venmo or Paypal. Proceeds from the event will be used to purchase advanced electrocardiogram or EKG equipment for the USA Health Providence Cardiac Care Unit.
