Festival International de Louisiane announces 2024 lineup

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — The lineup for 2024’s Festival International de Louisiane is here and it’s as good as always.

The five-day celebration of culture through music, food, art and performance each April transforms downtown Lafayette into an entertainment epicenter. The ticketless outdoor event is one of the largest International music and art festivals in the United States and strengthens the links between Acadiana, the Francophone world and the entire international community.

“Our team is counting down the days until April,” said Stafford. “The lineup this year boasts many exciting acts, ranging from Colombian to Canadian, traditional to electronic. There will be something for everyone at Festival 2024.”

Exciting new acts this year will include Coreyah, a psychedelic Korean folk group with a freewheeling, polystylistic vision. Another new addition to the schedule will be the Celtic Bayou Corner, a celebration of Celtic culture scheduled throughout Saturday and Sunday. Music performances will take place inside of Jim Deggy’s Brick Oven Pizza & Brewery, located at the corner of Jefferson across from Reve Coffee, with street animation and dance experiences outside of the venue.

As always, the festival will have top-notch French music from France, Africa, Canada, Louisiana and beyond.

Meta & the Cornerstones, a globally acclaimed reggae band, are a stand out Francophone group this year.” Stafford said. “Meta’s Senegalese songs bring contagious rhythms and soul-stirring melodies that will mesmerize our reggae loving fans. We also have Radio Radio back on the bill by popular demand. Their catchy, hip-hop/electro-flavored hooks can always get the party started.”

The full schedule will be released in March, and the festival will take place April 24-28. Stay tuned for special events, performances, special exhibits, cirque de la rue, kids activities, art exhibits and more. The Full Lineup and video can be found online here.
