Bucks County, Montco holiday parades to kick off festive season. Here's your list of where to watch

Bristol Township Holiday Parade

Saturday, Nov. 19, noon 

The Bristol Township Holiday Parade is back featuring the Truman High School Marching Band and Cheerleaders, Eagles Pep Band, Mummers All Stars, Bristol Township Baton Twirlers, Bristol Township Council, local sports organizations, local businesses, church organizations, nonprofits, dance studios, car clubs, police and fire, Santa and more, organizers said.

The parade will begin at Brookwood School, traveling down Haines Road and turning on Millcreek Road to Millcreek Elementary. Grab your chairs and bags for candy collection and join the route.

Hatboro's 62nd Holiday Parade

Sunday, Nov. 20, 2 to 4 p.m. 

Hatboro will help kick off the local holiday season with its parade. The event starts at Summit Avenue and the parade marches south to Newington Drive.

"Each year thousands of spectators line up along the York Road parade route to celebrate and share in this season of thankfulness and hope," Timothy Schultz, Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce president and parade chairman. "We want to showcase the borough's terrific businesses and community spirit with this colorful and lively free family event which is the largest celebration of its kind in Montgomery County."

This year's Hatboro Holiday Parade theme is "Musical Notes & Holiday Floats." The parade will include floats, high school marching bands, string bands, military units, youth and dance groups, fire and rescue units, scouts, community organizations, dignitaries and public officials. This year's Grand Marshal is James Maccaroni, longtime resident of Hatboro, active in the Millbrook Society and a parade volunteer.

Children are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa which will be collected by Santa’s Helpers from UPS. The parade is completely funded by donations and sponsorships. This year’s premier sponsor is Hatboro Federal Savings.

Doylestown Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa Parade

Friday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m.

Doylestown Winterfest kicks off with the 108th tree lighting at State and Main streets in the borough.

Doylestown Winterfest is a town-wide holiday celebration. Winterfest combines several long-standing festive traditions for all to enjoy. It is organized by volunteers of Discover Doylestown and proudly supported by Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s, The Borough of Doylestown, Doylestown Fire Company #1, and members of the community.

Bristol Borough Christmas Parade

Saturday, Nov. 26, 1 p.m. 

This year the Christmas Parade will be on Saturday Nov. 26 starting at 1 p.m. with a rain date of Sunday Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. The route starts at Simon and Schuster on Farragut Ave (right near McKinley Street), goes all the way down Farragut/Pond Street, makes a left onto Mill Street and ends at Mill and Radcliffe streets.

Quakertown Christmas Tree Lighting Festival

Friday, Dec. 2, 5:30 p.m. 

Join Santa and Mrs. Claus for Quakertown Borough's annual Christmas Tree Lighting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be hot chocolate, cookies and more from a variety of vendors. The tree is located in the triangle parking lot on Broad Street.

Langhorne Dickens Night

Friday, Dec. 2, 6 p.m. 

The Langhorne Borough Business Association hosts Dickens Night with a tree lighting, carolers, bonfire, vendors and more in the Langhorne Park at Maple and South Bellevue avenues. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m.

Yardley Christmas Parade

Saturday, Dec. 3, 3:30 p.m. 

The parade travels South Main Street and West Afton Avenue, starting at the American Legion and ending at Buttonwood Park. At the end of the parade Santa will light the tree and have a meet-and-greet for the kids.

Morrisville WinterFest

Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. 

The parade route is West Post Road to South Pennsylvania Avenue, Delaware Avenue, Washington Street, East Bridge Street, North Pennsylvania Avenue, West Palmer Street and ends at Morrisville High School.

Perkasie Tree Lighting

Saturday, Dec. 3

Perkasie Borough will host the nation’s oldest community Tree Lighting Ceremony. Two of Santa’s reindeer will visit the event , which includes live holiday music, Pennridge school groups, games, food, live dioramas, horse and carriage rides, food trucks, performances and more. The event opens at 5 p.m. when former Perkasie Mayor John Hollenbach recites “T’was the Night Before Christmas.” Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus arrive on a Perkasie Electric Truck to light the Christmas tree at 7 p.m.

One lucky child will be chosen to climb on the stage to help Santa light the tree. Kids should bring a non-perishable food item for Pennridge FISH to enter the drawing. New this year, the RAMs Pint House is hosting a Kids’ Christmas Village on 7th Street, with a host of family friendly activities and a visit from the Grinch. Perkasie’s Nostalgic Holiday Train Display will be on display at the Electric Building at 120 N. 7th St. from noon to 8 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday.

The Perkasie Historical Society on West Walnut Street is hosting a “Polar Express” themed story time (4 p.m.) and “Christmas in Perkasie” display from 3 p.m. on Saturday. Families can catch Santa on Friday night as he makes his rounds of Perkasie neighborhoods and again on Saturday afternoon when everyone rides for free at the historic Carousel at Perkasie’s Menlo Park.

Newtown Holiday Parade

Sunday, Dec. 4, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

This parade is a huge event that continues to provide a magical experience for the whole community, organizers said. Hosted each year by the Newtown Business Association, the parade, which is co-sponsored by McCaffrey's Food Markets, kicks off at 2 p.m. from South State Street at the Stocking Works. It then continues north to Washington Avenue and makes a left turn, then turns right onto Sycamore Street. The parade eventually ends at the corner of Sycamore Street and Durham Road. Free, rain or shine event.

New Hope Holiday Parade

Saturday, Dec. 4, 4 p.m.

Head to the Delaware Riverfront borough for holiday fun with a parade down Bridge and Main streets.
