What to know – FGCU: The Eagles are coming off a 105-61 win over Ave Maria in its home opener Sunday at Alico Arena. Junior forward Zach Anderson scored a game-high 22 points and senior guard Isaiah Thompson added 21 for FGCU, which connected on a school-record 17 3-pointers against the NAIA Gyrenes. The Eagles improved to 19-2 all-time in home openers. Through three games, junior guard Chase Johnston (18 points per game), Anderson (14.3) and Thompson (14) are all averaging double figures in scoring for FGCU. Tennessee: The Volunteers suffered a 78-66 loss to unranked Colorado on Sunday, dropping them from No. 11 in the Associated Press rankings to No. 22. Tennessee shot just 25.4% from the field and 27% from 3-point range in the upset loss to the Buffaloes. The Volunteers also saw 7-foot-1 senior forward Uros Plavsic go down with an ankle injury. Tennessee, which finished last season ranked No. 5 in the nation, was picked to finish third in the Southeastern Conference this season. Graduate transfer guard Tyreke Key, a Tennessee native who played four seasons at Indiana State, is averaging a team-high 16 points per game this season. Volunteers guards Zakai Zeigler and Santiago Vescovi, who were both named to the preseason All-SEC first team by the conference's coaches, have combined to make just 13 of their 47 field goals through two games (27.6%) and commit 11 turnovers.
