FHP: Car crash kills pedestrian near UCF
A man from Orlando died after a car struck him near UCF in east Orlando Saturday night.
The 24-year-old was trying to cross the street at the intersection of North Alafaya Trail and Ashton Manor Drive, near the University of Central Florida in east Orlando when a 2018 Ford Focus impacted him around 11:20 p.m., said Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Kim Montes.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a 25-year-old from Orlando, did not suffer any injuries. The pedestrian later died at Advent Health East Hospital, Montes said.
No names were released immediately.
This crash remains under investigation.
