Fidelity Investments to bring nearly 900 new jobs to Northern Kentucky

Nearly 900 new jobs are coming to Northern Kentucky through a nationwide growth initiative by Fidelity Investments, state officials said Thursday.

The Boston-based financial services firm is planning to add over 12,000 new jobs company-wide by the end of the year, including 874 in Northern Kentucky, according to a release from Gov. Andy Beshear's Office.

The company says it's looking to meet or exceed its 16,600 new hires from last year. The majority of these new jobs will be in customer-facing roles, though around 14% of new jobs will be technology positions, the company said in a release.

Fidelity first opened its Covington office in 1992 and now has over 4,800 employees in the region, state officials said in the release.
