In the video, we see Lisa, a 5-month-old Great Dane, stretched over her family’s home stairs.
Trying to get around her is little Elliot, the curious baby determined to scale those same stairs.
But Lisa, the “nanny dog,” as Hannah refers to her in the video’s caption, refuses to let Elliot pass, even using her paw to gently redirect the baby.
In the end, Lisa’s vigilance and determination pay off, and Elliot crawls away from the stairs, defeated.
The two then trot off together, undoubtedly pursuing another adventure — and perhaps another viral moment!

“They really are amazing, aren’t they,” wrote famous actor Kevin Bacon.
“That’s adorable!” commented Sandra Lee — also known as Dr. Pimple Popper.
Non-celebrities were also touched by the video, with most expressing that we don’t deserve our canine companions.
“Aww, yes! My Great Dane saved my life as a kiddo once. True story. They are the most relatable and smart K9s. Miraculous really. We don’t deserve them,” one user wrote.
“We don’t deserve dogs! Look at [her] taking [her] job so seriously,” another user commented.
“She definitely was a mother in a past life,” said another user.
“And they say animals are not part of the family,” read another comment.
“Who needs a baby gate when you have this precious nanny,” joked another user.
It’s clear that Lisa and Elliot are bound to share a special relationship as they both grow up — and hopefully, TikTok will be there to capture it all!
