Fight for childhood cancer awareness: Glendive gears up for electrifying night of MMA for charity

Apr. 7—GLENDIVE, Mont. — Killeagle Promotions will host "Fight For Our Future VIII" on April 15, 2023 at the Toepke Center on the campus of Dawson Community College in Glendive, Montana. The event will showcase a combination of boxing and mixed martial arts, promising an electrifying night of combat and excitement.

Ten skilled fighters will compete in a highly anticipated event, showcasing skills, strength and endurance in a head-to-head battle.

"We have a great lineup of Warriors willing to get into the cage to fight for something bigger than them, Childhood Cancer Awareness," Wesley KillEagle, Jr., event promoter, said. "They'll lay it all out there to fight for our babies."

The main event of the night will see Dallas Davison, representing Diesels Counterpunch Combat Sports & BJJ, square off in a Welterweight MMA bout against Daniel Augare in a title fight. Davison has competed in boxing and bare-knuckle fighting and will face off against Killeagle Promotions veteran Augare, who is known as "Eagle Catcher."

Additionally, the co-main event of the evening will showcase a heavyweight boxing bout between Montana natives Brandon Economu and Patrick Roe — a Glendive native and hometown fighter. Economu is currently ranked 19th among all Montana Amateur Heavyweights.

The Seattle Children's Hospital cancer research and treatment center, which has made significant strides in improving the lives of children fighting cancer, will be the beneficiaries of a portion of the proceeds from this event according to KillEagle, Jr.

Pre-sale tickets for "Fight For our Future VIII" are currently available for $20 at Beer Jug, Wagon Wheel Bar and Holiday Gas Station in Glendive. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 after the weigh-ins on Friday, April 14, for those who were unable to secure pre-sale tickets. Killeagle Promotions cautions that the fight card is subject to change without prior notice.
