Ohio gubernatorial candidate Nan Whaley, a Democrat, accepted an invitation to speak with USA Today Network editorial editors from around Ohio.

Republican Mike DeWine, Ohio's current governor, declined to share his thoughts during the meeting. He has refused to participate in debates and public forums alongside Whaley.

Among other things, Whaley says DeWine is not tough enough to be the leader Ohio needs.
