The Big Ten Tournament is up for grabs after a wild conference schedule in which most of the seeding was determined Sunday on the final day of the regular season.

“I just couldn’t believe some of the games and some of the ways some of the games went (Sunday),” Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said Monday. “But it’s been that way all year. It has been consistently insane.”

Conference champion Purdue is the odds-on favorite, but any of a half-dozen other teams could win it with a few hot hands.

How will you fill out your bracket?

Here are our picks for the five-day basketball smorgasbord at the United Center.

Wednesday’s first round

Wisconsin over Ohio State, 5:30 p.m.

On the NCAA Tournament bubble, the Badgers need a strong showing. Five of their Big Ten losses came by a combined 12 points.

Nebraska over Minnesota, 8 p.m.

It will be a successful return to the United Center for former Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg, whose Cornhuskers have won five of their last six.

Thursday’s second round

Michigan over Rutgers, 11 a.m.

The Wolverines were peaking at the right time until overtime losses to Illinois and Indiana. Coach Juwan Howard may be under fire if Michigan bows out early.

Iowa over Wisconsin, 1:30 p.m.

The Hawkeyes won last year’s Big Ten Tournament as the No. 5 seed — and once again return as the No. 5 seed.

Illinois over Penn State, 5:30 p.m.

No one has the slightest idea which Illinois team will show up in any given half, much less day. But a home-state crowd should fuel Terrence Shannon Jr. & Co. past the Nittany Lions.

Nebraska over Maryland, 8 p.m.

The Huskers are on a roll and freshman Jamarques Lawrence looks like the real deal. The Terrapins have looked like road kill away from College Park.

Friday’s quarterfinals

Purdue over Michigan, 11 a.m.

Zach Edey battling Hunter Dickinson could be the tournament’s must-see matchup. The Boilermakers will survive a close one if Edey doesn’t get in foul trouble.

Michigan State over Iowa, 1:30 p.m.

Izzo figures to have his defensively challenged Spartans ready after an epic collapse Feb. 25 at Iowa. The Spartans blew an 11-point lead with 55 seconds left and lost 112-106 in OT.

Northwestern over Illinois, 5:30 p.m.

Chris Collins’ second-seeded Wildcats are at their best when everyone is doubting them. Almost no one believes they can survive the weekend, so ...

Indiana over Nebraska, 8 p.m.

Hyphens rule. Trayce Jackson-Davis is tournament-tested and Jalen Hood-Schifino is the Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

Saturday’s semifinals

Michigan State over Purdue, noon

Edey scored 32 and 38 points in two conference wins over the Spartans. The third matchup is always the toughest, and Izzo has won six Big Ten Tournaments.

Indiana over Northwestern, 2:30 p.m.

The Wildcats don’t have to worry about an NCAA Tournament bid if they lose, but backcourt stars Boo Buie and Chase Audige want more. The Hoosiers’ tournament experience will come in handy.

Sunday’s championship game

Michigan State over Indiana, 2:30 p.m.

A tough nonconference schedule will pay dividends for the Spartans. Izzo has had many better teams but none that have been through a more emotional ride than this one.
