FilmBar Phoenix, a popular movie theater that has shown indie, foreign, and classic films for over 10 years announced on Wednesday that itwill not reopen. The movie theater was closed for the past two years due to thepandemic and it can no longer support itself. A sale of the theaters equipmentwill take place from noon to 7:00 PM on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (Phoenix Patch)
A Thunderbird High School student was taken into police custody after being seen with a gun on campus. An administrator investigated a report of someone vaping in the bathroom and when the student fled they noticed a gun in their hand. Police arrived on the scene, located the gun, and took the student into custody. (The Arizona Republic)
A Motel 6 shooting in North Phoenix on Wednesday morning has left one man dead and a suspect on the run. The shooting took place around 4:30 AM at the Motel 6 near 23rd Avenue and Bell Road. Investigators are still determining what led to the shooting.(FOX 10 News Phoenix)
