FAIRHAVEN — Another famous face has joined the cast of the New Bedford based Hollywood film "Finestkind."

On Thursday, actor Tim Daly was spotted getting out of an expensive car and entering Rasputin's Tavern in Fairhaven during a scene that was being shot for the film.

Daly, best known for Joe Montgomery Hackett in the television series "Wings," is set to play Dennis Sykes in the film.

The scene also featured several cars driving by and the movie's leads Ben Foster and Toby Wallace exiting the bar and speeding off in a pickup truck.

Filming is underway

On April 20, the crew started filming scenes at Rasputin's Tavern in Fairhaven. "Yesterday we were inside, today we're mostly outside," said producer Gary Foster. "It's a great day for outside scenes."

Additional filming locations will include Scott Street, Egypt Lane, Fort Phoenix, New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge and the Fairhaven Bike Path.

The Sandra Jane fishing vessel will also serve as the "hero boat" for some scenes.

As for New Bedford, a few spots under consideration are Leonard's Pier, a few private residences, the hurricane barrier and Custom House Square.

"Over half will be filmed in New Bedford," said Foster in a previous Standard-Times interview. Other filming locations will be in Brockton, Scituate and Dedham.

"It's a blue collar story. So we're in those communities," Foster added.
