Not so fast on “Jersey Shore 2.0.”

The MTV reboot of the hit “Jersey Shore,” which still airs in a new iteration, “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” has halted production in Atlantic City.

“Production has been paused,” said an MTV spokesperson to the USA Today Network New Jersey.

Filming with a new generation of Jersey Shore roomies was apparently gearing up to take place in a historic eight-bedroom home, listed on Airbnb, on the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City, a short walk from the boardwalk. Cameras were attached to the house and a filming wall was erected, according to a report on www.wfpg.com.

MTV and the producers of the “Jersey Shore” franchise, 495 Productions, had not been in contact with the Atlantic City Film Commission, but that didn't mean filming was not taking place.

No reason for the pause was given. Sound is an issue in the house's Airbnb description.

“In an effort to combat noise concerns and out of consideration for our neighbors, we have noise sensors installed at the property to monitor noise levels,” states the Airbnb house profile. “You should have nothing to worry about as long as you're not engaging in excessive partying.”

MTV was looking to recreate the “Jersey Shore” experience with a new crew.

More:'Jersey Shore' original cast members not happy with MTV 'Jersey Shore 2.0' update

“It’s been 13 years since the iconic cast of 'Jersey Shore' fist-pumped their way into our lives and stole our hearts,” said MTV previously in the new show description. “Now, the time-honored tradition continues with a new group of roommates moving into their own Shore house. They may have traded their poofs for plumped pouts and UV rays for spray tans, but when things heat up in Jersey, the Shore is still the place to be to make memories all summer long.”

The original “Jersey Shore” cast was based at 1209 Ocean Terrace in Seaside Heights in 2009 but the borough “informally” said they would pass on filming “Jersey Shore 2.0” there in July and August.

As for the original cast, they took umbrage at the “Jersey Shore 2.0” concept when it was announced in May.

“As a cast that took a chance with a network in need, we put our most vulnerable moments on television for the world to see,” said the original cast in a collective statement. “We gave our all over the past 13 years, became a family and continue to open our lives for the world.

“So please understand that we are not in support of a version that will exploit our original show, our hard work and authenticity to gain viewers.

“Don’t forget to tune into an all new season of 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation.' “

“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” airs 8 p.m. Thursdays on MTV.
