The final days of Bed Bath & Beyond in Delaware. What to know about sales and gift cards.

At Bed Bath & Beyond, a smattering of towels, bedding and pots and pans meld with harrowing empty shelves.

The housewares and home decor retailer has entered its final days. The company late last month filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and announced a "winding down" process for its remaining stores.

By June 30, Delaware will lose the Bed Bath & Beyonds in the Christiana Town Center and on Route 1 in Rehoboth Beach. The town center's Buy Buy Baby, a chain owned by Bed Bath & Beyond, will also close.

The Bed Bath & Beyond in Brandywine Town Center off Concord Pike closed earlier this year.

A week after the store began closeout sales, there wasn't a ton of merchandise left in Christiana on Wednesday morning. The most stocked sections had bedding, kitchen tools and outdoor chairs in grays and browns. Several shelves throughout the store had been wiped out.

All items are marked 10%-30% off with all sales final (products purchased prior to April 26 can be returned). As one shopper passed signs advertising what they felt were meager discounts they remarked, "They're not trying to go out of business that fast."

A handful of shoppers headed into the store to hunt a deal, but most of the shopping center's traffic focused in front of the Boscov's.

Boscov's is one of several retailers offering deals to customers who show Bed Bath & Beyond coupons (Bed Bath & Beyond is no longer accepting coupons). The Pennsylvania-based retailer will give shoppers $10 off a purchase of $50 or more through the end of May.

Big Lots is offering 20% off orders of $50 or more through May 7. The Container Store will mark 20% off a single item with a "competitor's blue coupon."
