Final preps take place for Platinum Jubilee Celebration
STORY: The event has taken two-and-a-half years of planning and the coordination of more than 1,300 performers and 500 horses from around the world.
“What you’ll see is a whole raft of things, the event takes you on a journey through history, a ‘gallop through history’ from Queen Elizabeth I to our current Queen,” said Jo Peck, the celebration's marketing and communications director.
Also performing are The Oman Royal Cavalry, The King’s Guard Norway, The Garde Republicaine (France), Azerbaijan – Land of Fire, The Top Secret Drummers (Switzerland), The Bollywood Company and Trinidad and Tobago Steel Band.
The Queen’s Platinum Celebration runs from May 12 to 15 in the private grounds of Windsor Castle.
