Final score predictions for Ravens vs. Bengals

·2 min read

The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Cincinnati Bengals during Week 7 of the 2021 season. It will be the first divisional matchup of the year for Baltimore, and their last before Week 12, where they will take on the Cleveland Browns.

While the Ravens have gotten the better of the Bengals in recent years, Cincinnati has taken a massive step forward in 2021, showing that they have a bright future ahead. This game is big for both teams, as the winner will continue to carry the momentum that they’ve gained over the first six weeks of the season.

Below we look at final score predictions for Baltimore’s Week 7 matchup with the Bengals.

There’s no doubt that Cincinnati is a much improved team from what we’ve seen over the past few seasons. Quarterback Joe Burrow is throwing the ball well, wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is making an impact, and the defensive unit has played better than anticipated.

However despite all of that, Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson is playing at an incredible level in his fourth NFL season, and the Ravens are coming off of an impressive Week 6 win against the Los Angeles Chargers. Their Week 7 matchup with the Bengals could be a trap game, but it’s hard to bet against Jackson, especially when facing a team that he’s had so much success against.

Many believe that the Bengals are the real deal, as they find themselves second in the AFC North with a 4-2 record. I think it’s a mirage. Cincinnati’s four wins have come against the Minnesota Vikings (3-3), the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-3), the Jacksonville Jacksonville (1-5) and the Detroit Lions (0-6).

This seems like “false advertising” to me, especially since the Bengals also lost to the Chicago Bears (3-3), who have not looked good in any of their contests. I expect the Ravens to control most of this game and win by two scores.
