Final suspect charged in Broadway shooting

City police have arrested the third and final suspect in a shooting incident last month outside the Wauregan on Broadway.Corey Wynn, 22, of 84 Raymond St. in New London, faces multiple charges related to the Sept. 28 shooting that left three bullet holes in Broadway storefronts. He was charged today with criminal attempted first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, hindering the prosecution and providing a false statement.Wynn was arrested by Montville police Wednesday night for an unrelated domestic incident at the Microtel Hotel on Route 32 in Montville. Police said he was involved in a physical altercation with a female. Wynn was charged in the Montville incident with first-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault, second-degree threatening, disorderly conduct, risk of injury to a minor, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.Wynn is scheduled for arraignment today in Norwich Superior Court. In connection wit the Broadway shooting, Norwich police previously have arrested Merzilas Braboy, 18, of 14 Thamesview Road in Norwich and Richard J. David, 23, of no certain address. Both men faces charges of criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault. There were no known injuries in the shooting.
