Comings & goings: Dollar General opens in southern York County; Downtown Inc has new chief

Comings

A new Dollar General store has opened in Airville, according to a news release from the company.

The store is at 4291 Delta Road.

The store is expected to employ six to 10 people, according to a news release.

In other Dollar General news: The company announced it recently remodeled its store at 5 Cinema Dr in York and now offers produce.

“At Dollar General, we strive to be a positive business partner and good community neighbor in York,” said Matthew Simonsen, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development. “Although we are not a grocery store, we believe the addition of produce in our York store highlights our commitment to deliver a pleasant shopping experience that includes affordable prices on quality products in a convenient location.”

Lewisberry

Trinity Solar has signed a 16,610-square-foot industrial lease at Fairview Industrial Park located at 621-641 Lowther Road in Lewisberry, according to a news release.

The lease brings the park to full occupancy, according to Larken Associates, owner of the site.

Trinity Solar is one of the largest privately owned residential solar installation companies in the United States, according to a news release.

Closing

Mill Creek Market in Yoe is closing, according to a Facebook post by the business. The post said the seasonal market will not reopen this spring.

"We look forward to spending more time with family and friends. Thanks to our loyal customers and many friends we have met in the last 5 years at Mill Creek market," said the post.

Personnel

Sarah O’Brien has been named the next director of Downtown Inc, according to a news release from the York County Economic Alliance, which which operates Downtown Inc.

O'Brien has over 20 years of experience in downtown revitalization and Main Street organizational leadership. She has worked for city governments, main street organizations, travel and tourism nonprofits and has served various leadership capacities across Texas, including having served as a two-time past president of Texas Downtown.

She will assume the role of director of Downtown Inc on April 8.

Rutter's

M&G Realty, Inc., part of Rutter’s Holdings, Inc., has named Chris Hartman as the new president. He succeeds Tim Rutter, who retired at the end of 2023, according to a news release. His new role is in addition to his management responsibilities with the related company convenience store chain.

Rutter’s owns and operates 86 convenience store locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia.

IREGC

The Investment Real Estate Group of Companies (IREGC) announced the promotion of Brandy Meyer as director of finance. Meyer joined IREGC as its controller in June 2023, after working as the director of finance for a construction and development company. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Juniata College.

The company also announced Tim Bolla has joined the company as chief investment officer. He will play a key role in driving the company’s growth by sourcing, evaluating and executing on all of its acquisition strategies. He also will be responsible for building new and nurturing existing relationships with investors, financial institutions and other key IREGC stakeholders to ensure growth within the portfolio.
