Hello, I’m Jackie Borchardt, senior news director for content at The Enquirer.
One of my favorite parts of my job is helping lead our summer internship program. These eager college students and recent grads get out into the city and region to meet people and find stories.
Today’s story comes from two of them, Luke Macy, who is a rising senior at Miami University, and Carter Skaggs, a University of Kentucky graduate.
Devin and Luna Cherry were spotted selling their unconventional guitars at Findlay Market. Luke and Carter met them at their workshop/home in West Price Hill to learn more about how Don’t Fret Guitars came to be when the couple began making guitars out of everyday objects.
