Fire Breaks Out at United Airlines Facility at San Francisco Airport

A two-alarm fire at the United Airlines maintenance facility at San Francisco International Airport forced the building to be evacuated, local news reports said. The smoke billowing from the fire was visible for miles, social media users reported.

The San Francisco Fire Department said the fire appeared to have been caused by a malfunctioning HVAC unit on the roof.

No injuries were reported.

According to local media reports, airport officials said no flights were affected by the fire.
