Busy South Side bridge temporarily closed due to fire

ORIGINAL STORY: A fire underneath a bridge has closed part of P.J. McArdle Roadway on the South Side.

The viaduct connects the South Side to the Liberty Bridge.

The fire was reported just after 1 a.m. First responders put up barriers soon after.

Back in 2017, fire from a homeless encampment damaged the viaduct.
