Two homes destroyed by fire near Three Crosses and Alameda

LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces authorities are investigating after a fire decimated two structures and caused minor damage to two others in a mobile home park Monday morning.

Las Cruces police and fire crews were dispatched about 10:30 a.m. to the Alameda Acres Mobile Home Park at 3 Crosses Avenue and Alameda Boulevard. Smoke from the fire could be seen from around the city.

Mobile home park residents said the responding firefighters had the blaze under control after about 10 to 15 minutes.

The city confirmed in a news release that no one was injured by the blaze. Four occupants were displaced and offered assistance from the American Red Cross, the city said.

The city said that no damage estimates were immediately available and that the cause of the fire was under investigation.
