UPDATE: Fire contained near Win River Casino in south Redding
A fire at the Redding Rancheria has reportedly been contained, according to emergency radio reports.
Fire officials reported that a boat and shed caught fire on Redding Rancheria Road near Win River Casino and Resort. The fire, which was first reported at about 3:10 p.m., spread to surrounding trees and brush, according to emergency radio traffic.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the fire was threatening any other buildings in the area.
At about 3:40 p.m., fire officials at the blaze reported that crews had laid fire hose all the way around the fire and any other fire engines or other equipment headed to the blaze could be canceled.
