Fire destroys Bon Vista Building Sunday

Jul. 11—One building at Bon Vista Apartments, on Stewartstown Road, is a total loss after volunteer crews from at least seven agencies spent several hours battling a blaze Sunday afternoon. Westover, Granville, Star City, Cassville, Cheat Lake, Brookhaven and River Road Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene, as did Mon EMS and Mon Power. According to Mon EMS, there were no injuries and nobody was transported. It is believed a dog was lost in the blaze. Morgantown Communications Director Andrew Stacy said the Morgantown Fire Department did not respond as assistance was not requested by the agencies on scene.
