Fire engine involved in crash in Centerville

UPDATE @ 12:40 p.m.:

A fire engine was involved in a crash in Centerville late Saturday morning.

The crash was reported in the area of Far Hills Avenue and Bethany Village Drive around 11:30 a.m.

A Washington Twp. fire engine was involved in the crash, Centerville police and fire dispatchers confirmed.

The engine was responding to a fire alarm at Bethany Village when at the time of the crash, a Washington Twp. spokesperson confirmed.

“As they were turning in, a very minor collision occurred with another vehicle,” the spokesperson said.

The crash caused minimal damage to the engine and no injuries were reported.

The other driver was at fault, according to the spokesperson.
