An exhibit highlighting theater groups in the region will be on display through November at the Northwest Minnesota Arts Council Gallery at Northland Community and Technical College in Thief River Falls.

The exhibit includes props, costumes, shoes, papier mache items, photos, playbills, advertisements and historical information. Many of the props and costumes are handmade and have been used in a variety of plays over the years.

Theater groups represented in the exhibit are the Thief River Falls Area Community Theater, Middle River Community Theatre and Fosston Community Theater.

The creativity of those involved in community theater is on full display in the show, said Trey Everett, NWMAC showcase specialist. "I love the enthusiasm of the theater directors. They are passionate about youth being involved in and experiencing the world of drama and acting."

This exhibit was made possible with funding from the McKnight Foundation.
