Fire sends one to hospital with burns, MFD says
The Memphis Fire Department (MFD) is investigating a fire that left one woman injured.
According to a release, firefighters responded to the 6800 block of Birch Run Lane for a fire just after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

When officials arrived, they found a one-story wood frame house with smoke showing.
There were no firefighter injuries but one woman was found and taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation and third-degree burns on the left shoulder. She is listed in critical condition at the Regional One burn unit, a release said.
The fire was brought under control just before 10 a.m.
