A Wichita County Sheriff's deputy in the area noticed smoke coming from the building shortly after midnight and notified the Wichita Falls Fire Deparment.

Firefighters who arrived quickly called it a three-alarm fire and requested reinforcements. Fourteen trucks and 30 firefighters fought the blaze and a ladder truck was used to battle flames above the roof.

Assistant Fire Marshal Jody Ashlock said much of the fire was in the attic above the kitchen. He did not have a cause or estimate of the extent of damage early Wednesday.

He said some of the doors were ajar when firefighters arrived on the scene and said the building had been burglarized a couple of time since a fire on March 10 closed down the business.

Power to the building was shut off after the first fire but a temporary power pole had been placed at the scene.

The fire on March 10 was attributed to a wok in the kitchen, but flames spread into a vent and caused extensive damage to the business.

No one was injured in either blaze.
