An early morning fire tore through an abandoned building in Hesperia, which was home to a shuttered gentleman's club bikini bar.

Authorities reported that around 12:37 a.m., Saturday, San Bernardino County Fire responded to a single-story commercial structure fire at 14855 Bear Valley Road.

The nearly 3,350 square-foot structure, constructed in 1979, is located just west of Cottonwood Avenue and adjacent to the Day & Night Inn motel.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke and fire coming from the boarded-up building.

As firefighters prepared to battle the blaze, the agency contacted Southern California Edison and Southwest Gas.

At about 1:33 a.m., the fire was knocked down, with no damage to nearby buildings, SBC Fire reported.

No injuries were reported. The cause and extent of damage to the building are still under investigation.

Former businesses that used the building include The Roxy Bikini Bar and Planet Rock bar.
