Fire at Zaporizhzhia chemical plant extinguished

A rescue crew has put out a fire at the Koahuliant chemical plant in the town of Polohy in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Quote: "It took rescuers almost two hours to put the fire out. The structures are currently being soaked and dismantled to prevent re-ignition."

Details: It was noted that the fire had been prevented from spreading to nearby buildings.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine units continue to work at the scene.

The cause of the fire is being determined. Data concerning casualties is also being confirmed. No chemical threat to the city and region residents has been detected so far.
