Jacob Long, a Washington County detention officer fired for "an inappropriate conversation" with a female inmate, was arrested late Monday and charged with "solicitating an act of lewdness," according to the county sheriff's office.

According to Monday's court filing, District Attorney Will Drake charged Long with one count of "engaging in prostitution," which it says is a misdemeanor.

The court record said Long induced "P.B., an adult female to engage an act of lewdness on herself in the manner of masturbation, at which time the Defendant was a detention officer and P.B. was an inmate in the Washington County Jail."

The court set bond at $1,000, which the sheriff's office said was posted during Long's booking process.

Earlier Monday, the department released a statement an unnamed male detention officer was dismissed from duty last Friday after an internal investigation revealed he had an "inappropriate conversation" with an inmate at the detention center.
