Firefighter evaluated after fighting house fire in Fairfax County

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Crews worked to bring a fire under control at a home in the Wolf Trap area Friday monring.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue posted on the X platform at 9:49 a.m. that the fire was burning in the 1200 block of Colvin Forest Dr.

The post included a picture of a two-story brick home in which flames could be seen inside the second floor as smoke came out of it. The post said the fire, itself, was on the second floor, adding that medics took one firefighter to the hospital while crews worked to bring the fire under control.
