Firefighters battle house fire in Mary Esther

MARY ESTHER — Firefighters battled a fire at a house at 250 W. Lorraine Drive late Saturday night.

Engine 11 in Mary Esther along with Engine 3, Engine 1, Squad 1 and Battalion 1 responded to the blaze, Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District officials said in a 1 a.m. Sunday Facebook post.

Engine 11 arrived on scene to find heavy fire conditions at the front of the residence and began an aggressive fire attack and search, officials said. Engine 3 arrived and assisted with the search. All of the home's occupants made it out safely and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. At the time of the post three cats were still missing.

The Fort Walton Beach Fire Department, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and county EMS provided assistance at the scene.
