Firefighters battle three blazes Friday in Williamson County

Firefighters fought three blazed in Williamson County on Friday, including a structure fire at a recycling center and two grass fires.

There were no injuries reported.

The structure fire was at the Balcones Resources building at 9801 Chandler Road near Taylor, officials said. Several fire departments from nearby communities helped battle the blaze, said Kendra Dubee, a Taylor spokeswoman. Further details were not yet available.

On Friday afternoon there also was a grass fire outside Hutto on County Road 198 and Apache Pass that burned some fences, said Connie Odom, a Williamson County spokeswoman.

Firefighters also are fighting a 2- to 3-acre grass fire on County Road 970 in Florence that caused no structure damage, she said. It was 90% contained, she s
