Firefighters called to brush fire near Aiken
Nov. 23—Firefighters were called to a brush fire Wednesday afternoon off Good Springs Road near Aiken.
The fire was initially reported as a structure fire but only brush was involved when Central and Eureka volunteer fire departments and the Forestry Service arrived on the scene after 2 p.m.
A public information officer with Central Volunteer Fire Department said the fire was apparently started by two children, ages 10 and 12, playing in the woods.
No structures, vehicles or other property was damaged in the fire.
