Cal Fire and Victorville Fire Department personnel also assisted at the scene.

Arriving firefighters found the home with extensive fire and through the roof. Once additional units arrived and established a water supply, crews were able to extinguish the majority of the fire.

After primary and secondary searches of the property, the house was found unoccupied.

During the incident, firefighters faced challenges, including downed power lines and high winds that laid down a dense smoke column and cast embers into nearby brush.

Firefighters contained the fire within the original structure and prevented it from spreading into the surrounding vegetation, fire officials said.

The fire was extinguished in about 30 minutes. No injuries were reported among firefighters or civilians, authorities said.

County fire responded with three engines, one chief officer, and one investigator for a total of 11 personnel. Cal Fire and Victorville Fire personnel assisted with one engine.

The fire is under investigation by the county fire marshal’s office.
