Firefighters shot at by BB gun while responding to call

Baltimore police are investigating after someone fired a BB gun at firefighters in Westport during a call on Monday night. City fire officials said crews were clearing a scene around 7:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Wilgrey Court, when Engine 58 was hit by what appeared to be shots from a BB gun. Fire officials said a car was seen driving toward first responders and someone inside began firing shots, striking one firefighter in the face. The car struck another firefighter's arm, injuring him. Both firefighters suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital for evaluation. Both are expected to fully recover, officials said.
