Firefighters Survey Damage After Catania Earthquake

Italy’s interior minister thanked over 100 firefighters who searched through the rubble following an earthquake in the city of Catania on December 26, which was triggered by a Mount Etna eruption two days previously.

The 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit near the city of Catania in Sicily at around 3.19am local time, ANSA reported, injuring ten people.
