Fireworks and car show highlight Coshocton Independence Day events

COSHOCTON — There are several events, including fireworks, happening this weekend in honor of Independence Day on Monday. Here are some for this region:

  • The second annual Coshocton Community Car and Bike Show will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday in and around the Coshocton Court Square. The event is sponsored by the Jon Ianniello Agency and will benefit Blue Star Mothers Coshocton OH59. My Cars Radio Band will play from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a magic and animal show by Blathmac. Assorted vendors and food will be available. Bring lawn chairs and blankets for the entertainment.

  • Thunder Over Holmes County is at 3 p.m. Saturday in downtown Millersburg with activities, games, food vendors and more. Fireworks are at dark.

  • The Gnadenhutten Fireworks Festival is at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Gnadenhutten Town Hall. Nathan Cozart of WTUZ will be broadcasting live from 9 to 10 p.m. at Stocker Concrete with fireworks at 10 p.m.

  • Food, music and more will be available throughout the day Saturday at Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia with fireworks at 10 p.m.

  • Fireworks will be at dark Sunday at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds. Entrance to the fairgrounds is free, but a donation will be accepted going toward the fireworks display for next year.

  • A butterfly exhibit by Fran LeMasters is free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Sunday at Clary Gardens.

  • The musical "Godspell" will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Clary Gardens as presented by Rogue Elephant Productions.
