Fireworks Near Los Altos July 4th 2020 Canceled: See Other Events

Susan C. Schena

LOS ALTOS, CA — Independence Day events across the country will not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus. Most area cities and organizations decided to cancel their Fourth of July events, including in the South Bay, Silicon Valley and beach towns — and the Glorious 4th Fest and Concert in Los Altos.

There is a live fireworks display planned for Gilroy — but that does include viewing restrictions.

Throughout the region and in the SF Bay Area, however, a few communities are hosting aerial flyovers, virtual fireworks and parades, decorating contests and patriotic, fun activities to do from home. Los Altos Hills, for one, is planning a live, but modified, 4th of July Parade.

Peruse the list to see what's on tap in the region and what is canceled. Stay safe, and have a Happy Fourth of July, from Patch!
