It's fireworks season. If you are looking for places in and around the Rockford area to watch fireworks, you have plenty of choices.

The following is a list of some of the shows planned for the area:

Where to watch July 1-3

Beloit: Win or lose, stick around after each Beloit Sky Carp game on July 1, 2, and 3 against the South Bend Cubs for a fireworks show at ABC Supply Stadium, 217 Shirland Ave., Beloit. Byron: Gates open for free entry at 6 p.m. July 2 at the Byron Dragway, 7287 N. River Road. The 20-minute fireworks show set to music begins at 9 p.m. Food and ice cream vendors will be on site.

Loves Park: Red, White & BOOM!: Races start at 7:07 p.m. July 1 followed by fireworks, Rockford Speedway, 9572 Forest Hills Road, Loves Park.

Village of Winnebago: Hosts a fireworks show at dusk July 3 next to Winnebago High School, 200 E. McNair Road.

Where to watch July 4

Beloit: Pops on the Rock: Concert and Fireworks begins at 7:30 p.m. at Riverside Park off South Riverside Drive.

Cherry Valley: Fireworks show begins at dusk at Baumann Park.

DeKalb: Fireworks show begins at dusk at Hopkins Park, 1403 Sycamore Road, DeKalb.

Durand: Fireworks show begins at dusk outside of Durand High School, 200 W. South St., Durand.

Galena: Fireworks show begins at dusk from Grant Park, 625 Park Ave., Galena.

Huntley: Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. at Deicke Park, 11419 IL Route 47, Huntley.

Kirkland: 75th Annual Kirkland Lions Club 4th of July Celebration that includes a carnival, live music, billed as the largest fireworks show in Northern Illinois. Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. at Franklin Township Park, 201-299 3rd St., Kirkland.

Loves Park: Post game fireworks at Rockford Rivets Stadium, 4503 Interstate Blvd., Loves Park. The game against the Kenosha Kingfish begins at 6:35 p.m. Fireworks also are set off after each Saturday home game.

Mount Morris: Fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. at David L. Rahn Junior High School, 105 W. Brayton Road, Mount Morris.

Rockford: A 30-minute, 5,800-shell fireworks show over the Rock River begins at 9:30 p.m. in the city’s downtown. Preferred viewing is at Davis Park, 320 S. Wyman St. A synched soundtrack will be played in the park. The Davis Park entrance on the north side of the park opens at 4 p.m. Admission, $5; veterans (with ID) and children 5 and under enter free. Rockford Country Club: Fireworks show begins at 9:30 p.m. Preferred viewing at Oxford Park, 2420 Oxford St.

Stockton: Fireworks show begins at dusk at Stockton Memorial Park, Highway 20 West & Pearl Street, Stockton.

Woodstock: Fireworks display begins at dusk at Emricson Park, 1313 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock.

Where to watch after July 4

Freeport: A fireworks show will be held at dusk on Saturday, July 8 at Tutty's Crossing as part of the Tutty Baker Festival.
