Fireworks Set Off During East Jerusalem Protests

Clashes erupted between residents and police at the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem on May 18, local media reported.

This footage was published by the Quds News Network, and shows fireworks being set off at the Shuafat refugee camp checkpoint.

Palestinian leaders had called for a general strike among Arab-Israeli workers to protest against the Israeli strikes on Gaza, and in solidarity with Palestinian residents in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of East Jerusalem.

In the West Bank, authorities reported at least four deaths on Tuesday, along with dozens of injuries.
