First of 4 concerts to raise funds for Ukraine kicks off in Thousand Oaks

A group of professional musicians kicked off the Music for Ukraine concert series Saturday at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks.

The local performers donated their time at the free event, which was the first of four concerts planned in Thousand Oaks, Ventura and Santa Barbara. Flutist Caitlin Boruch, of Thousand Oaks, organized the concerts to gather donations for humanitarian aid to UNICEF.

The programs feature a mix of classical music and contemporary songs. More than a dozen musicians will take part in the series.

Visit the UNICEF-affiliated website events.unicefusa.org/event/music-for-ukraine for detailed event, ticketing and donation information. All donations support UNICEF’s humanitarian response efforts for children and families in Ukraine and neighboring countries offering a safe haven to the displaced.
