Ruby Reid Clark has the distinction of being the first baby born at United Regional Health Care Systems in 2022.

The daughter of Tana Harkrider and Matthew Clark wasted no time in making her entrance, arriving at 12:52 a.m. Saturday.

“Ruby was very eager to be the first baby of the year, so much that she came 3 weeks early!" her mother said.

For the record book, Ruby weighed in at a respectable six pounds and seven ounces and stretched to 20 inches.

"United Regional is proud to welcome the first child of 2022 to Wichita Falls. We wish the family well as they begin their new life with Ruby," the hospital said in announcing Ruby's arrival.
