First Colonial High School alum Mark Ruffalo honored with Hollywood star
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WAVY) – Actor Mark Ruffalo, who graduated from First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, is the latest celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The Emmy® winner and four-time Academy Award® nominee received his star on Feb. 8, in the Motion Pictures category.
“A career as an actor is never done alone. It takes so many people to do it, and so I want to say with this star, it’s not just mine – it’s yours! It’s you folks out there who are my fans – who basically pay for us having this career,” Ruffalo said, during the ceremony.
Fellow actors Tim McNeill and Jennifer Garner, and Director David Fincher were the guest speakers.
