First Dates hopeful turns up to the restaurant already drunk

Going on First Dates must be a nerve-wracking experience, but viewers thought that one of tonight's (December 10) hopefuls didn't go about calming his nerves in the right way.

Meet 40-year-old actor TJ from Bristol. He lives with his parents at the moment, which he finds embarrassing, and says that he would like to find a girlfriend to settle down with.

He also thinks he looks like Johnny Depp, which viewers did not agree with:

He's here to go on a blind date with Chanelle, a 26-year-old senior support worker who's also from Bristol.

Unfortunately for her, TJ turns up to the restaurant having already had quite a few drinks at the Aston Villa game, to the point where he is slurring his words.

People at home were not impressed at all:

He didn't get kicked out of the restaurant, but it did lead to some awkward moments for poor Chanelle. She didn't seem overly impressed with him, but she stuck with it, and fair play to her.

Unsurprisingly, they did not agree to go on a second date, but at least Chanelle will remember this as the day she almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow.

First Dates airs Monday nights at 10pm on Channel 4.
