First Dates Hotel stuns viewers with last-minute twist as Blain and Georgia get together after Rachael date
First Dates Hotel returned to our TV screens last week just when we needed it most, showing us scenes of gorgeous Italian vistas, brilliant summer weather and couples falling in love.
It also left us with one huge cliffhanger as guests Rachael and Georgia realised that they knew each other from back home and spent the rest of the first episode wondering whether or not they should explore their respective feelings for each other instead.
But the real twist ended up coming at the end of tonight's (May 7) episode as after both girls decided that they wanted to spend more time together and see where things went, the Channel 4 show had another final update in store: Georgia was now in a relationship with Rachael's date Blain.
During the episode, viewers saw Georgia on a date with Robbie and Rachael on a date with Blain, but by the end of their respective nights, both girls had decided to ditch their dates to date each other instead.
"He was lovely, he was really confident and really flattering towards me," Georgia said at one point.
"But if I had the choice between spending my evening with Robbie or Rachael, I'd say Rachael, definitely."
Rachael, on the other hand, thought over her decision for a bit longer and but eventually followed suit and admitted: "In this situation if it was Blain or Georgia, it's Georgia."
After Rachael and Georgia spent the rest of their time in the First Dates Hotel together, the episode's final update revealed that they'd even spent more time together at home and viewers were convinced that this was one First Dates couple who'd had a happy ending.

But then came the final update, as Blain shared a video message to the First Dates Hotel team – only to be interrupted by Georgia walking out in the middle of it.
As the show continued on to reveal that Blain and Georgia had begun spending time together, the caption along the bottom admitted that they'd "stopped trying to keep up" with the whole situation at that point.
And it's safe to say viewers weren't expecting that particular update to come at the end of tonight's episode either (just watch out for the naughty words):
