Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, two incredibly famous people prone to posting photos of themselves frenching on social media, just want to get married—twice—in peace. But Instagram won’t stand for it. On Saturday the middle Jonas shared a photo of himself and Game of Thrones star Turner kissing in Paris on Instagram, ahead of their reported French wedding ceremony—the follow-up to their Las Vegas vows after the Billboard Music Awards in May. But Dr. Phil McGraw, of all people, shattered any mystique about why the couple was there when he commented: “Easy now! 1 week to go! Ha! See you at the wedding!” A clear breach of the unspoken rule of being annoyingly coy ahead of a celebrity wedding.
This spoiler comes after Jonas joked that Diplo all but ruined the pair’s cheeky nuptials at Vegas’s A Little White Wedding Chapel—officiated by an Elvis impersonator with country duo Dan + Shay performing their hit “Speechless”—when he documented it in detail via Instagram Stories.
“I love Diplo, but he loves his ’gram more than a 13-year-old,” Jonas told a London radio show. “He literally, like, livestreamed with dog-face filters.”
Dr. Phil’s attendance—assuming he’s still invited—at the Jonas-Turner wedding seems to be part of an established relationship, as the brothers gave their first interview since reuniting to the TV guru earlier this year; Dr. Phil’s son Jordan McGraw has opened for the JoBros.
