'First-ever Arena Football Game at the Rose Bowl': 28 points in about a minute were scored

Ohio State football and Utah scored four touchdowns in about a minute of game time during the second quarter of the Rose Bowl on Saturday.

From 9:07 in the second quarter to 8:02, the teams combined for 28 points and included two 50-plus yard touchdowns from Ohio State, a 97-yard kick return for a touchdown and a 6-yard run.

Utah added a fifth touchdown at the 6:24 mark when quarterback Cam Rising went 62 yards on a touchdown run. And Ohio State nearly saw Jaxon Smith-Niigba score a third touchdown in the quarter before fumbling in the end zone.

With 35 seconds left, a punt finally happened.

Dispatch beat reporter Bill Rabinowitz put it simply on Twitter that "This game is officially drunk."

Ohio State trailed 35-21 at halftime. It tied for the most points in one half for the Rose Bowl.
