The first Dakota Coffee Festival takes place in Sioux Falls in March, featuring plenty of caffeinated tastings from local sellers to choose from.

Formerly the Sioux River Latte Slam, this event has been rebranded to the Dakota Coffee Festival, according to a press release.

Now relocated to the Sioux Falls Convention Center, the larger festival will feature more vendors and will take place Saturday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for coffee and tea tastings.

Attendees can taste samples from participating cafés and roasters from around the region. Coffee goers can visit and learn from experts in the industry and gather with others to celebrate all things coffee and tea.

The larger show will offer more to attendees while helping benefit a cause, The Community Outreach, and its effort to raise awareness for transportation needs in Sioux Falls. A portion of each ticket sold will benefit the Christian-based nonprofit, which offers crisis care and other options to the homeless.

And early registration helps attendees out too. The first 500 tickets sold include with them a free Dakota Coffee Festival mug.

Tickets for the event are on sale now and starting at $17.
